Purpose

Sianah Nalika DeShield Women’s Lifestyle Blog exists to help readers make smarter decisions about skincare, haircare, self-care, and home.

This site focuses on DIY recipes, practical routines, and trusted home product recommendations for everyday life.

Who Writes the Content

All content is written or edited by Sianah Nalika DeShield, a novelist turned blogger, wife, and mother of three boys.

She has years of experience creating DIY products, managing a busy household, and making skincare, haircare, and home items for her family, including for her newborn and toddlers.

Editorial Approach

I aim to create content that is:

Helpful and practical for real women and real homes.
Accurate and clearly explained where relevant.
Transparent about what I personally make and use versus what is research-based.
Updated when information changes or new insights become available.

I do not publish content that is primarily written to rank in search engines. The focus is on real readers and real homes.

Use of AI Tools

I may use AI tools to assist with tasks such as brainstorming ideas, outlining articles, checking grammar, or summarising information.

All AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, and verified by me before publication. I remain responsible for the accuracy and usefulness of all content on this site.

DIY Recipes and Product Recommendations

When I share DIY recipes or recommend products for skincare, haircare, self-care, or home, I consider:

How realistic the routine or recipe is for everyday life.
Time and effort required to make and maintain it.
Cost compared to buying a similar product.
Who it suits and who should avoid it.
How it fits into a busy home with children.

Recipes and routines I have personally made and used are identified as first-hand.

Other recommendations are clearly presented as research-based, using manufacturer information, product documentation, published specifications, and independent research.

I do not recommend products solely because they pay a commission. If a product or recipe does not meet the evaluation criteria, it will not be shared.

Affiliate Disclosure

This website may participate in affiliate programmes. If you purchase through certain links, I may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not determine the editorial direction of the site. I only recommend products and tools I would genuinely consider for my own home and family or that meet the evaluation criteria explained on this site.

I aim to keep information accurate, but product details, prices, and availability can change.

When an article is substantially updated, the updated date will be changed to reflect the revision.
