Well, this was a new one!

I’ve read many romance novels, but I can’t recall reading one with this premise; that the hero made a bet with his friend and now needs to get someone pregnant. Wow!

I wasn’t so sure about Mike at first; he seemed very conceited and had no problem telling the reader in a second-person interaction exactly why he is the bee’s knees. But, he had a softer side as well, and I enjoyed when that side came through. Lily was much more humble, which made for a nice contrast between the two. I really felt for her because she had to endure some pretty rough times and find a way to make it right. And, boy, did she! If you are looking for a romance that’s different than anything you’ve ever read before, this may be the book for you! ~ Romance Novel Giveaways

DeShield pens an interesting story in McSexy. I really enjoyed the story and build-up to the meeting of the two characters, a sexy Ghanaian millionaire and the writer. Total opposites in almost every way. The intentions of the two, and how it leads up is so different. The book is filled with twists and changes and growth in the characters that you hope are coming. It’s a great romance, and it works. It’s not too fast, or too slow, and drawn out. I like the backstory of both characters, and how it puts them where they meet and how they move forward. A great story, and I like DeShield’s writing style and will continue to read more of her work. ~Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews
